ADVICE ON CARE

PROTECT AGAINST SHARP OBJECTS

When putting your cover on and and taking it off, ensure your cover is protected against sharp points on your boat/vehicle, including rocket launchers, studs, anchors, and wing mirrors.

FITTING GUIDELINES

Our caravan covers require two people to install, for ease of installation three people is best.

Begin by taking the cover from its bag and placing it on the ground, preferably on a tarpaulin to prevent any markings. Identify the front of the cover by locating the white tag.

There are a few ways the cover can be installed.

  • Position a long pole at each corner of one end of the cover and walk it over the top of the caravan.

  • Alternatively, you could place the folded cover on the roof. Unfold the cover, starting with the length.

To secure the cover beneath the caravan, use the buckles and separate strapping. Take the buckle's toothed portion, ensuring the most indented side faces you with the teeth pointing downward. Take the strap and pass it away from you through the top slit, then bring it back towards you through the bottom slit.

Connect the two parts of the buckle, and if done correctly, the strap should tighten like a fishing knot. If the strap slips out, it indicates incorrect threading, so repeat the process until securely fastened.

Before fitting the cover, ensure the front of the caravan is free from dirt, grime, and debris.

Take the cover out of the bag, and with a person on each side of the cover, slide the sides of the cover into the channels. Pull the cover up until it reaches the top of the caravan.

Tighten the side buckles to the desired width.

Before installing the boat cover, ensure all sharp objects on the boat are covered with a soft material such as a tennis ball or foam.

Put the outboard motor up.

Boat covers have a T shaped seam of stitching at the front. Our name and silver fern are at the front of our covers on each side just behind the bow and there is a white tag at the front.

We advise tightening straps alternately on each side. For example start at the rear left and then to the front right. Reverse this each time until the cover evenly and securely affixed.
